ALL GATHERED IN THE NATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THE HANDMADE DOLL

There are toys that stand out among the memories of our childhood, but there are Mexican dolls that marked the history of the whole country. That is the case of our beloved Marias, who conceal behind their smile a symbolism so powerful that it encourages a great part of the Mexicanity through the embroideries and colors that characterize them.

The role of this doll occupies a very important place in the heart of Mexicans. That is why, once again, from 17 to 20 November it was decided to hold the 5th National Festival of the Handmade Doll in the municipality of Amealco. It is a space completely dedicated to the Marias and the artisans who strive to preserve the artisan tradition that has kept them alive over time.

Walk along the history of this representative doll, art and the memories that it lodges, then revive your childhood in each of the cultural events and workshops that seek to remind you that the best things in life are those that make us proud of be part of a country full of cultural wealth.
