The bibliohemerográfico fund has approximately 6 thousand volumes produced between the centuries XVI and principles of the XX, which are written in diverse languages: Latin, Spanish, English, German, French, Italian and some in braille. The collection has a multidisciplinary and multicultural composition. There are collections dealing with theology, mathematics, history, literature, politics, law, geography, grammar, travel, manuals, dictionaries and more.
The oldest book of the collection is a philosophical-theological commentary on a work by St. Thomas Aquinas, produced by the Dominican friar San Cayetano, printed in Latin, dating from 1519.
The library also houses a rich collection of local and regional newspapers of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries of great documentary and testimonial value. The large number of newspapers that custody of the collection demonstrates the intense journalistic activity that took place in Querétaro.
