GUARANTEEING THE HEALTH OF ATTENDEES

The Querétaro Centro de Congresos y Teatro Metropolitano, received this morning the Safe Travels Seal awarded by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), in recognition of the health protocols and guidelines for the prevention of COVID infections -19.

In a ceremony headed by the head of the state tourism secretariat, Hugo Burgos García, accompanied by the director of these venues, Alfredo Espinosa Leal; the official delivery of this certification was made. There, the secretary stressed the importance that the meeting tourism segment has had historically for Querétaro, which has been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

 “The COVID 19 pandemic has put the resistance of this sector to the test… but also, innovation for this type of tourism: congresses, conventions, expos and fairs have to adapt today to new needs and trends. For this reason, the Querétaro Congress Center and the Metropolitan Theater receive the Safe Travels Seal, issued by the World Travel and Tourism Council ”, he stressed.

The Querétaro Congress Center, has a space of 32 thousand square meters of construction, with 3 rooms of different sizes, a covered terrace and offices for private meetings; parking capacity for 1600 cars and 28 buses; among other amenities and spaces. For its part, the Metropolitan Theater is one of the best equipped in the country, which has a main room and two secondary rooms, a green room, a press room, dressing rooms, a dressing room and a makeup room.

In each of these enclosures, bio-sanitary safety protocols will be applied, such as permanent cleaning and disinfection of facilities with public access, cleaning and disinfection of equipment and furniture, contact spaces and application of technology for taking temperature. automatic for attendees, among many others.
