The municipality of Tequisquiapan is considered the heart of the wine region of the state of Querétaro, and the origin of what has been known as the Cheese and Wine Route, one of the most successful tourist offers in the state, besides being the creator municipality and official headquarters of the National Cheese and Wine Fair, which reaches its 41st edition, after more than four decades promoting the oenological culture that made its way into the semi-desert of Queretaro.
Music, aromas, texture and flavors, have been the right combination that defines, for many years, this important festival attended by thousands of visitors during three weekends, between the months of May and June of each year, to enjoy of the best wines and cheeses of the region, as well as other states of the republic.
This National Fair, which marks in some way the temporary start of the harvest and the harvest months of Queretaro vineyards, is the place where the best cheeses, wines and musical styles are concentrated to create the ideal atmosphere to spend a weekend in the Magical Town of Tequisquiapan and its surroundings.

The National Fair of Cheese and Wine, brings not only the best of Mexican wine and Queretaro ranchers, but all the security provided by the extensive tourist infrastructure of the municipality of Tequisquiapan, suitable for all tastes and budgets, with 40 hotels that offer more than 1,100 rooms, craft markets, dozens of shops where you'll find fine craftsmanship and more than 25 restaurants that offer true gastronomic delights, all of them to pairing with a good glass of excellent wine and a slice of great cheese.
