Know the first religious building in Querétaro
The Franciscan were the first order to stablish in the state, and they did not allow any other to arrive. They involved the indigenous people of the zone in the construction of this ceremonial center, and not just as workforce but also as investors, artists and producers; such is the case of Conín with the convent of Saint Francis, the convent of Santa Clara, and the Royal Hospital.
This Mesoamerican construction is made of quarry. Has two floors and four courtyards that together make a mixture of sober baroque with a renascent touch. A building full of history that is worth to visit in the state of Querétaro.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 h to 18 h.
