The magnificence that made Querétaro the third most important city of the viceroy.
In the facade we can appreciate the twin gates characteristic of the convents of the nuns, and the flying buttresses which are merely decorative. In the interior, the pulpit with inlays of ivory, nacre shell, tortoise and silver; and the organ and the auditorium beautifully carved in wood outstand. In the sacristy you can find one of the most famous portraits of New Spain painting, the one of sister Ana María de San Francisco y Neve, attributed to the master José Páez.
You can visit the temple every day from 9h to 18h.
