The heart of the Historic Center of Querétaro
It is a space surrounded by splendid 18th century viceroyal buildings, mansions and palaces coexist with quiet restaurants and cafes.
In the center of the square stands the fountain crowned by the statue of the Marquis of the Villa del Villar del Águila, responsible for the construction of the portentous Aqueduct. In its north side is the Palace of Government of the State or House of the Corregidora. The rest is surrounded by renowned restaurants and mansions. XVIII, like the one of the Marquess of Ecala or the one of Timoteo Fernandez de Jáuregui. To the center is located the source of the Marquis, benefactor of the City.
