Created to provide a better view of the temple of Santa Rosa de Viterbo
This beautiful square was constructed in 1964 with the purpose of giving a wide view to the most beloved of the colonial buildings and at the same time to honor the architect Ignacio Mariano de las Casas, author of innumerable works of the baroque Queretano, including the same temple and convent .
It is surrounded by an arcade and leafy willow trees. The fountain and statues of Don Ezequiel Montes and General Arteaga give it a peculiar atmosphere. Restaurants, bars and cafés are on their doorstep.
